Course Description

No progress in sustainable development will happen in the coming decades in the absence of multiple generations. Children have the right to prosper, live in a sustainable world, and develop to their maximum potential. Communities, governments, and businesses globally are striving to enhance the lives of young children through early childhood development. Despite these efforts, about 250 million children aged between 0-5 years fail to meet their development potential. In this regard, our children should be protected from unsafe environments and violence. Drawing research from various disciplines including psychology, sociology, neurosciences, anthropology, and economics, this course concentrates on Early Childhood Development and the role it plays in the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs.
